Sorry Hans can't do it. I could give it a go and by the time I hit the submit button I'd have to revise it. I was initiated with the Virgin years so that'll always have a special place - but "best"? Can't be done!

I think I'll be reading your accounts of each era from your Big Journey, Hans, and then voting accordingly...

As for my favourite period, it's really from Virgin to Melrose years, but if push came to shove, then Virgin it is (even though it omits the sublime Poland and Underwater Sunlight).

I voted for the Virgin years which until recently wouldn't have got my vote. Funny how things change. As for 3 albums from each period. I would have to wrack my brain all night .
