Looking back at Quinoa

Post by hansx »

This one we didn't have. While playing I came to the conclsion that this one isn't a bad record at all. By the way, never felt that. it is very rhytmic. Always like that in TD. I had Quinoa already al fanclub release. And later with the two bonussongs.

Brilliant CD with the 28 minute title which is still one of my faves.

The 28 minute track sounds like Rockoon leftovers to me.

Not my favourite slice to TD music.

The track Quinoa is a bit over-long and meandering for my tastes. There are one or two nice sections that are pretty good but I think they've made appearances elsewhere (220 Volt?).

My favourite track from the album is Voxel Ux and that's pretty good right the way through.

So overall a bit of a patchy release IMO.

I've always felt the prodution on this CD was really weak, with a very limited sound pallete....timid, dry drums....kind of a distant cousin to Destination Berlin in many ways, but with weaker compositions. Makes DB sound like Ricochet!

Broooootal.

I love the title track — more hypnotic than anything since I suppose Remote Viewing. Voxel Ux and Lhasa? Or anything after, for that matter.

Yes, there are two other, wholly unmemorable tracks there too…
