Amazon mp3 version of the Island Years now unavailable however play.com offering 259 tracks for less than a pint! (for how long!)har wrote:That certainly is an excellent deal on the John Martyn collection. Haven't listened to his music for a while. Will put that right !
Also bought Encomiast - Laurentide and Boddy - Three Dreams recently. Play them both often, excellent music.
Thought I could share how this box will look like. Looks impressive and beautiful.Insvims wrote:I also downloaded the first 41 tracks. Sounds impressive already from track one. Hours of music to get to know here.har wrote:Nice one . I pre-ordered this also and look forward to getting my 8cds. Have downloaded the first 41 tracks with about the same still to comeInsvims wrote:I just made the pre-order for Die Welt ist Klang: A Tribute to Pete Namlook. This will be an 8-CD set presented in a custom wooden box. Seems like a very nice product. Proceeds will also go to Namlook's family to help pay for equipment etc. left after Pete passed away.

Some amazing music. Pete would have been very proud of this. The tracks from Autumn of Communion, Material Object and Lorenzo Montana in particular are initial stand outs. The standard from the FAX artists is superb, as expected. I also voted in the fan submissions for inclusion in this momentous collection.
FAX lives on.

Catch Me If You Can is nice, a bit similar to Dead Solid Perfect, but maybe not as strong.Insvims wrote:Used from a seller at Discogs:
Tangerine Dream - High Voltage (4-CD box)
Tangerine Dream - Catch Me If You Can (CD)
New from a seller at Discogs:
Fates Warning - Darkness In A Different Light (2-LP + CD)
I have both Valentine Wheels and Tournado as the 2-CD set Lamb With Radar Eyes. But this box has a cool cover and a 20 page booklet.Jon wrote:Catch Me If You Can is nice, a bit similar to Dead Solid Perfect, but maybe not as strong.Insvims wrote:Used from a seller at Discogs:

I have Tournado which is one of the discs on High Voltage. The 1997 tour was a decent one, but I think the 1990 one was better. Atlantic Walls and Atlantic Bridges are two rather "safe" 90s compilations with no new material. Valentine Wheels seems quite interesting though.
