Tangerine Dream

Seems like TD no longer play anything from the 1990s on their concerts? Any reason for this? Anything to do with Jerome? Had been great to see songs like The Back Of Beyond and Longing For Cash(ba) back on the set list. I kind of miss the sax and the guitar.

To be fair Jon, the 90's were not their best decade IMHO, especially the first half. The late 90's improved a lot but is still not probably music that fans would want to hear over other 'classics'.

Well, I don't think you can speak for the whole TD fanbase about that. For me, something happened around year 2000, when I didn't buy anything new by TD until 2007.

I just think it would be fair to play something from all eras. They start the set with Mothers Of Rain from 1988, not what I would call a classic.

Well, with 1000+ compositions to choose from, they had to decide on 13. No wonder they can't satisfy everyone.

We all will have different opinions on tracks we like or dislike, that is why I said IMHO!! That was just my view on it. Whatever they pick for the setlist, some will not be liked by some.

You said IMHO, but you also said the 90s is "not probably music that fans would want to hear".

But let's hope for an even more varied set next time.

Jon, I did not say they would not want to hear them totally, just that there are probably other 'classics' they would rather hear over and above the 90's stuff. As I say, that is just my opinion and you are very welcome to disagree!!
