Munich is the beer city of the world, surely a pre-concert meet here does not have to endure a faux Irish experience?
This is close to Circus Krone.
http://www.augustinerkeller.de it looks great!
How about here?

Anybody fancy a visit to the countryside? The S8 to Herrsching for a nice lakeside walk/lunch/beer etc. Or a well signposted walk up the hill to Andechs Kloster with its tradition food kitchen, beer hall and garden. Been here before. Well worth a visit. only 50 minites on the Sbahn

For someone not used to an efficient transportation system it feels stressful - just one track blockage or breakdown away from missing the show. Guess return would have to be early enough to cover the worst case scenario.

leave a fraction earlier. Then meet in AugusinerKeller. Though track blockages and breakdowns in Germany? The word incredulous springs to mind!

You seem to know your stuff. I would be surprised if people can realax enough to be beyond the city centres.

Anyone coming to Munich on Saturday/early Sunday then it is worth a visit. The S8 goes directly from the airport through the city centre.
