One of those tracks that sound very simple but have been crafted to perfection I'd say - ripe for a TDOC download?

GTA V looks like a big hit in the game world and will probably sell millions of copies. Likely most of the gamers will have no knowledge of TD. If just a small percentage like the music enough to seek out TD this could be really big, maybe thousands of new fans!. I'm guessing that a soundtrack album must be in the works. Perhaps several! :D

the main TD theme used in the GTAV video is titled NORTH YANKTON MEMORIES, it and several other TD tracks - plus what seem to be collaborations or remixes of TD source material (by Woody Jackson, The Alchemist, Oh No & DJ Shadow) will be available from AMAZON (dot com and dot uk) on Sept 24 as a 22 track downloadable album titled 'The Music of Grand Theft Auto V, Vol. 2: The Score'. No news of a physical release - yet.

NORTH YANKTON MEMORIES is track 5 and runs 4.08

Also checkout tracks:

9. NO HAPPY ENDINGS (with Edgar's typical chord phrasings)
11: (SOUNDS KIND OF) FRUITY 4.51
15: YOU FORGET A THOUSAND THINGS 3.41

When this is available and I can listen to it in full I'll 'try' to give a more complete break down. I will also do a mailing with any extra info - soon.

Having heard just a tiny fraction of Edgar's dynamic score, all I can say is - bravo & more please

In the states, so far only this is available -

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FCI ... 336&sr=1-7

There's a lot of great TD music in the game.... but only 3 or 4 tracks being released is a huge disappointment.

EDIT: and now that release seems to have been pulled from Amazon's site... same as happened with the score release on Amazon's UK site.

to my ears many of the tracks seem to have some TD elements in them - either obviously or less obviously

I saw that too. So what happened? Yesterday I say up to 44 songs listed on the amazon.us site. No albums (mp3) but just single songs. This morning "nothing"

iTunes has the album up for 10 bucks.

Any chance of it showing up here in the TD store? Or does rockstar have full rights to the album/songs?

Eff me these tracks sound stunning....a new kind of TD...very dynamic and upbeat with no vocal samples or the usual phrasing....we must get these on CD puleez.
