Just saw the 2011 movie "Drive" which is very similar to "Thief" in its style and music. The music is by Cliff Martinez. In a interview he admits the inspiration from TD: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sTwpfUbkxcQ

I gave the movie a 8/10 rating on IMDB.
