From what I understand now the first location is not a proper one. Cause of a game in the Man stadium there will be a lot of supporters in that neighbourhood and of course bar. On the other forum another location has been suggested. If you have also facebook, keep notice of the thread there.

Is there a game on that day then?

I was hoping that it was after the football season had finished.

Fo all those wonderin what is happening re the fan meet ,old trafford has been chosen for one of the div 2 playoffs and samuel platts will be packed solid with wound up football fans, getting served will be a nightmare, and conversation with TD friends will be difficult as it will probably be really noisy.Alot of fans are stayin at the holiday inn at salford quays and are also meeting up there, hopefully after the game has started things should calm down.

Alternate location fanmeet.
Obvious not a lot of interest for a pre-concert fanmeet

Found an alternate location in case there are too much football fans.
Or should this be the prime location.

In case there are too much football fans at the now preferred location : http://www.exchangebar-salford.co.uk/ ,
this might be an alternate pre-concert meeting place : http://www.exchangebar-salford.co.uk/

Or should this be the prime location.
It's near the Ramada Manchester hotel, Salford Quays
I know this hotel has been booked by some TD fans, including myself.

Qurious for opinions !!

I think it would be far more convenient to say "fanmeet is now at the Exchange Bar, because there could be crowds of football fans at the Samuel Platts"...

Personally I do not think that the football at Old Trafford should affect us as we will be meeting around the time the game is on and should be on the way to the Lowry by the time the game has finished. The Exchange looks more of a restaurant than a bar - IMHO

Is there really a footballmatch at Old Trafford at May 28th ?
I can't find anything.
In London the Champions League final is played at Wembley.

What's the source ? who can confirm about football activities at Old Trafford ??

This is what is published :
English Premiership: Manchester United v Blackpool 22 May 2011 16:00
