I plan on ordering one of their albums. Which one is best?

I love the stuff TQ did on Madcap, is PPM something similar, just without the vocals or what?

Both albums are excellent but i do prefer "Symphony for Vampires". Some tracks have vocals other's are instrumental but both albums come highly recommended by me. Some fantastic guitar work and top class electronica from a very good outfit. Also check out their ep releases if you can get any, well worth the money. :D :) There is also "Curriculum Vitae 1" their latest release on the Ricochet Dream label which is a compilation of the EPs

Well I must admit I really love Music For The Winter Solstice. I think this will get a play every xmas along with A Charlie Brown Xmas which is another crimbo fave of mine. but Symphony For Vampires is stunning, one of my fave albums of last year. not pure E music but a great listen.

I have not heard Curriculum Vitae I but if its a compilation probably worth getting it.

Actually, I recommend "Nostalgia / Heimweh - music for pictures and sculptures"
It's a work only lasting 29 minutes, and also comes with a dvd.
The music plays over a slide show of images, from the art exhibition Thorsten made music to.

I can't think of any music Thorsten has done better than this ep. It's very consistent and atmospheric, and sounds like a version of Klaus Schulze in a more traditional rock setup. If you like real piano sounds and feedback guitar in slightly repetitive music, this is the one for you. It beautifully builds up in a discrete, but still very dramatic style. This one is completely instrumental.
I think this one is Thorsten's magnum opus, and better than anything he has offered Tangerine Dream.

It's also available on Curriculum Vitae I, except for the bonus track "morriña".

Totally agree with your words Jacob,It's a great CD that I get at the Eastgate shop at the Loreley.
The pictures of the the DVD are a little curious and strange.

I find a lot of PPM's a bit workman like...there's a good track on each album, but lots I want to fast forward through...filler as it used to be called. Having said that I'd still recommend it

Of the only 2 that I have so far, "Symphony" and "Walpurgisnacht", I recommend "Symphony".
