Just got an email from Tom Middleton`s manager. "We’re reforming Global Communication for a show at ADE in October and we are discussing plans for next year so we’re all very excited!"

This was also confirmed by Tom on his facebook page as he said they want to try and do another album some times next year and after the gig in Amsterdam some dates in the UK will happen.

2011 cant come soon enough for me ;-)

To say I almost wet myself when I got this news was an understatement...I have been waiting for this for about 13 years.

The Reunion... a little info and some new Middelton goodies

"So...
ADE news.
Mark and I can confirm we'll be putting together a run of Global Communication live shows for Q3 2011.
Some will be seated concert performances of 76:14 , some will be live club/festival appearances and there will also be a few select back to back DJ appearances.

I'm working on forthcoming Liquatech remixes for Bedrock and Beardyman.

Robortom featuring Au Revoir Simone 'Paganini Rocks' out next week I believe on Sunday Best digitally...

Gliding out on Urbantorque early 2011..

And I'm working on a total immersion 4D sound experience..more info soon!

All the best..T

Saw them live on Friday just gone doing 76:14 plus one track from Blood Music. was a superb cocnert and has been 14 years in waiting for me. I filmed a few bits of it. Also Jon Hopkins started the night off and played a superb DJ set. Best £12.50 I have spent

I just bought the album "74:16" by Global Communication. Mark Pritchard and Tom Middleton created some very nice tunes on this.
But how on earth did they get away with using "Love On A Real Train" not on one but TWO tracks?! :?: "8:07" (track 7) and "5:23" (track 8) both sound like cover versions of TD's composition, the same rhythms, the same melodies.

Funnily enough: On another album I bought recently I discovered a sample by TD. On the album "Freefloater" by The Higher Intelligence Agency on the track "Skank" the strange bird-like sounds from "Zeit"'s title track (starting around 8m 30s) can be heard throughout.

These guys really were inspired by TD, weren't they. :D
