I bid on it on impulse. Really thought I had won at very good price but... I'll get it eventuslly.redziller wrote:Yes that's the one - hope another comes up for you but I think I've only seen it a couple of other times in the last few yearssparrow wrote:I was bidding on that.... At least it went to someone who'll appreciate as well as me. was it the copy being sold from Poland? Guy has sold loads of TD rarities.redziller wrote:Finally got White Out - but with rare front insert and regular back insert according to http://www.rutka.de/td/white_out.html.
Oh the wonders of ebay - still it's all about the ♫♪ innit
Think I bid just over £16...it went for £1 more. If I'm honest I wasn't too bothered I lost. It will turn up again but not so cheap and my days of spending big money are over.T4N63R1N3 DR34M wrote:As a matter on interest, how much had you bid ?
Yep £16.99 - Last time I went for this my phone reminded me in the bath and it nearly got a soaking, which would not have been such a good deal even if I had won.sparrow wrote:Think I bid just over £16...it went for £1 more. I've often wondered about this myself. My guess is the name Matjora might be from a theatrical play, as Schmoelling did provide the music for stage productions in his time so that's where the inspiration may have come from.Steve C wrote:Does anyone know who Matjora is/was from Wuivent Riet? I've just listened to this fantastic track, pure understated genius and possibly the finest thing Schmoelling has done.

Same here, Rigel. I was aware of the site but until I looked up Matjora, I had no idea how useful it is.rigel wrote:Thanks from me also That clears up a long standing mystery for me.multivit72 wrote:Regarding Matjora - As always, all the answers are here:

I am aware of the Voices in the Net website, but sometimes don't think to consult it. I didn't consider such information would be on there, but now I know better and will likely refer to it more in future.
The website is obviously a labour of love and yes, I can well imagine what a headache it can be at times with the same song appearing on different releases, and variant titles and so on.multivit72 wrote:youre very welcome and it is an amazing Website indeed. Actually, it took me a while to comprehend the scope as well - besides all the great Information, the cross-linking of the various Versions of the Songs must be a Major headache...
And that's the beauty of electronic instrumental music - we can make up our own story to go with the music/titlerigel wrote:The website is obviously a labour of love and yes, I can well imagine what a headache it can be at times with the same song appearing on different releases, and variant titles and so on.multivit72 wrote:youre very welcome and it is an amazing Website indeed. It's a great story about Matjora being a Russian river island. Although I have to say it throws out my long standing theory that Matjora was a character in a play. I kind of imagined Matjora as a tragic heroine...next time I listen to the track I'll probably still interpret it that way
