Edgar on i tunes

Post by har »

New additions to i tunes uk......

3 additional Edgar solo albums added to the Lord Froese section  8) :D

Ages
Stuntman
Pinnacles

All at i tunes plus quality ie 256kbs. Track listings are slightly different from the download section on here so must be the originals.

Great to see this, perhaps a few more i tunes users will discover Edgars great music :!:

Oh well......thought that might have been of some interest to you lads on here.........obviously not :?

The Ages download is only £4.99 and has "childrens deeper study" as opposed to "galgatha and circle closes" on the download on here. metropolis is also 11 minutes v 5 minutes.

Pinnacles is £10.99 and the title track is 21minutes as opposed to 8 minutes on the download section here.

So I think the i tunes must be the original versions of the recordings and obviously the download section on here will be the 2005? remixes.

I'll probably get all 4 versions when Santa brings my new TD i pod.

Interesting eh

Apple makes about 5 to 10 cents per song. 65 cents goes to the artists/label, and the rest goes to Apple's expenses (credit card costs, bandwith).

No - this differs from the fact if there's a distribution company inbetween the artist gets only 30 %! I know this from a friend of mine who's an artist, too. The least artists have a direct deal with I-tunes.

Morality:
When I wish to download or buy a CD my choice is

1 : Eastgate

2 :Specialists of Electronic music as Groove nl or Spheric music when the item is not at Eastgate.

3: I Tunes or Amazon for the others products.

I prefer when my money is going to the artists that I like.

Charles
Infinite thanks to all the peoples from Eastgate and TD for the Japan Raffle.

What is the difference between lable and distribution company?

The bulk of the money goes either to the label or the artist, not Apple.

Are the folks in the website aware of this?

This is not right ... the actual band site is not selling the right item?

Please let it be not so ... you just ruined my downloads ... forever ... I would rather buy the CD .. anyways!

This is one of the primary reasons why I do not do downloads ... the quality stinks at times and in the end, you endup finding stuff like this ... and sorry ... this makes me mad.

iTunes is a necessity and in a way I'm thankfull for Mr. AppleGod in his help to start breaking up the record conglomerates ... but he was 10 years late in helping the smaller artists and bands -- that deserved it and needed it ... for which the Internet has done much better in the past 5 years. The sad part is that iTunes ... is geared towards ... singles and single, small cut downloads ... for 99 cents ... all that kiddies can afford.

Reminds me of a day at the radio station once ... the new album from YES was "banded" .... so RELAYER had 4 tracks .... and I shudder to find some Tangerine Dream stuff cut up and banded ... might not be such an issue today as most cuts are shorter ... (we need to talk to Edgar about that!) ...
