nearly all the work related forums I belong to are private - in the case of one its more like the freemasons, the amount of security and passwords required, the public ones all suffer from hackers, spammers and criminals....the price of the online freedom we all enjoy.

the only answer is 24/7 admin on a private forum

some of the spam here I found upsetting..and its made me fuckingangry

weird! that spammer has now made 19 posts, before it was 21. It's not very likely it is the admin, who corrected them. He should delete all of them.

Maybe the poll code could be moded so if enough regular posters marked a poster as a spammer or flamer they'd be automatically terminated.

Sorry, but I think that is a bad idea and would make this place more like the EMforum. It would also result in an artificial forum where all members would have to go with the flow rather than expressing genuine opinions that differ to each others.

this is all down to administration, lets let the admin do the work, all we can do is alert and avoid the spam posts.

Looking at it im pretty sure the Spammer would have corrected my posts as i added comments to his original posts

unless admin can fill me in on it

It's so annoying... The admin should also ban the word 'd..k' Two of the profiles contains that word. And a word ban would erase profiles like that, if he just write: *d..k*
