10am. - our online system at work crashes so unable to work. In go the headphones and the PD disc...like it.
12midday- still no system. V-fart is now playing. All good, liking it so far. Interesting reading in the sleeve. Some interesting explanations behind the songs and how they were recorded.
1pm till 2pm-lunch!-
2.30pm - phone tech bod for update on system, er...he's in a meeting.
2.40pm - tech bod calls, not sure when system will be working again. Oh well, Anthology Years goes on!
3pm. - boss announces no system fix today. Home!
3.20pm. - v.fart on thru my BIG stereo speakers.
Hope u dont mind me sharing but what a way to wind down till the weekend. Thats a class friday!
I'll say. You could make this a three-day TD weekend!
I'm jealous. However, I dropped a check in the mail this morning (all right, the wife did), so I hope to get my TD package within the next two weeks. My only problem: Which CD do I listen to first? (BTW, that's a rhetorical question.)

ok, my fab friday continues....
Listened to all 3 cds more now.
Gotta say they are all very different.
Ill start with the ep:
PURPLE DILUVIAL:
* armageddon in the rose garden...a cool track which rumbles along nicely,
* purple diluvial...this isnt a critisism but you can tell that this isnt EF work. . . . But that of the clearly talented and breath of fresh air that is TQ. Its just got a different edge to it than edgars / td's work but its still in whatever 'section' t.dream are in these days.
* babylon the great has fallen...ill be honest, got to hear it a few more times but i like what i hear plus some of the above.
THE ANTHOLOGY DECADES.
* so far my least favorite of the three but again, i dont dislike it. To me it sounds like this what the dream mixes would have sounded like if EF had been in charge of that project. Its not 'big bass/dance' style remixes though, more like what they did with Hypersphinx and Lady Monk and some of the rerecordings on Booster & TD plays TD....maybe a hint of Tangentizing.
VIEWS FROM RED TRAIN.
Liking it so far. If youve heard the tracks featured on the ONIS dvd then you wont be disappointed here with the versions of Carmel Calif, Nutshell Awakening and the superb One Night In Space. The version of ONIS here is the guitar laden version and its amazing! Well done BB! That guitar works something else!
After the praise giving on here for leviathan i was initially a tad disappointed but im getting to like it with more listens.Def. got the Peter Gunn bass line in there and you cant help but think of that and Duane Eddy's twangy guitar sound! Hunter Shot By Yellow Rabbit is an unusual track but i like it and the explanation behind it from the sleeve notes. In fact those sleeve notes were a superb idea and add a different angle to the songs. Passing All Signs is a very laid back affair but interesting composition again. Sound Of a Shell is a mellow album closer.
A v.good album and a million miles away from the 'Five Atomic Seasons' and Madcaps Flaming Duty projects.
Ps. If your missing Armaggedon In The Rose Garden part one....those uber-cool folks at CDS have it in stock.
(not reviewed that one here cos mr.postman has it somewhere!)

Nice write up NOL.
Think im in the same predicament with PD. From yours and others comments on here has spurned me to put it on now to give it another listen.
I prefer Armagedeon prt1 to prt2, but both compositions are great.
The quality of this latest series of releases is outstanding.

One of the tracks on VFART reminds me of an 80's TV program along the lines of Johnny Ball think of a number
