TD quiz January 2008

Post by 24db »

Have a go at answering these questions, no prize, but I thought it
might be interesting nevertheless (the same questions appear on my
blog and on the Tadream mailing list).

Tangerine Dream Quiz, January 2008

Image

1. Which British DJ presented TD on BBC Radio's broadcast from the
Haus Des Rundfunks, Berlin in 1972?

2. In 1973 TD played a concert in Bern, Switzerland, which two groups
appeared with them?

3. What was the highest position that Phaedra reached in the Melody
Maker charts in 1974?

4. Where in the UK did TD perform live on august 21st 1974?

5. Who said "Without Debussy, Presley, Beatles, Pink Floyd, Tangerine
Dream would be impossible"?

6. a) How many people (according to French newspaper coverage)
actually attended the Reims Cathedral concert in 1974. b) What was
the nationality of the other musician that appeared onstage that
night?

7. Who's mother convinced the Swiss Avant garde composer, Thomas
Kessler to set up a studio in Berlin and what was it called?

8. Which record label did Edgar (unsuccessfully) approach in 1969?

9. At which UK venue did TD perform their loudest gig, and how loud
was it?

10. Which `unsual' venue did Chris Franke want the group to perform in, in 1975?

For those who are interested I also added 11 or 12 blog posts yesterday, with some rare photos and TD memorabilia. Once again if you need an invite email me

Most of these questions I almost know the answers to but can't quite remember.
