JMJ Paris gigs 2007

Post by TangFanIRL »

Yippee - got tickets for Geoff, Rosie and myself for the 12th (first night) and 13th December 2007! Looking forward to it. :D :D :D

Anyone else going too?

Be warned that when you book online at the Theatre Marigny site, it doesn't have an online seating plan that I can find, and it doesn't give you a choice where you want to sit - it only offers you a choice of seat prices (35, 45 or 55 euro)... :? :( My email confirmation email though does give the seat numbers but no ither information. At least the Alte Oper allowed us to see where we would be sitting.

Regards,

Conrad

Anyone want to go on Wednesday (12th) or Thursday (13th)??? Geoff can not go now so I have his spare tickets for both shows for sale. They are the good tickets (were 55€ each!). If anyone is interested please reply back before the show on Wednesday!

Regards

@all,

Yesterday evening present at the concert, 1st live concert of Jean Michel Jarre.
Astonishing for someone who likes JMJ's music since release of Oxygene ;-) .
And I liked the performance very much, in spite of some instrument intonation did not sound unlike the attempt of JMJ at a certain moment.
But that can happen in a live concert with analogue synths.

Did shoot some pictures and short video's.
Pictures will be published end of today, 16-12 at http://www.rdf.demon.nl/JMJ20071215

Movies will be published at youtube, but uploading longs a while so I cannot tell when.
Will be published at the same nickname as in this forum and like the movies of TD20071007 : http://nl.youtube.com/pb2rdf .

It was magnificient to see how much equipment was present at the concert and how many must be done to expose sound out of analogue synthesisers to produce a peace of music

This is nowadays much easier with the digital versions :!:
I did not know that the Theramin instrument was used at the Oxygen album. Did see it played live for the 1st time.

The operation of this instrument has a close relation with my hobby to which my nickname is connected.

There is a mp3 recording of the complete performandce of 20071212, can be downloaded at http://www.jeanmicheljarre.nl/forum/vie ... &start=180 .
Look at the message from Dr_Jones.

grtz, Peter
