How many albums did TD sell (in 1976)

Rock & Folk magazine No 119. Reve A Vendre

Translated from the French by babelfish...so the text isn't completely accurate...but the figures are :)

R&F: How many albums have you sold in Germany?

Peter Baumann: “Phaedra”: 10,000; “Rubycon”: 12,000; “Ricochet”: 15,000; “Stratosfear”: 25,000…

R&F: And in the whole world?

P.B: “Phaedra”: 25O,000; “Rubycon”: 300,000 and “Ricochet”, thanks to your adorable country: “350,000”. (As an indication, the figures given by CPF-Barclay for France are, respectively for the three albums: 40, 000,45,000 and 50,000.)

Very interesting fact.........and damn good sales figures IMHO

It would be really interesting to see what TD sales are worlwide by album? Anyone know where these facts can be read ( No - not Nilsen please!)

It's a question I've seen asked numerous times over the years and I've never seen a sensible answer. I guess we will never know the truth.


...and does it matter that much anyway?

there's no way that you'd ever get an accurate figure these days...it's too fragmented
