I seem to remember Chris Franke discussing why certain things get labelled with certain names and Logos, just prior to this album coming out....so you might be right Colin

Wahn* : is it waaarn or Warn as in barn

Atem : is it AT-emmm or ay-temm

etc

*one hell of an out there track by any standard

BM recovers composure again
I asked me mother....she should know she's German

R-tem
Varn
I'm liking these pronounciations. Perhaps TD/Eastgate would be so kind as to print a dictionary.

I think Edgar pronounced it "Kweshning" at the end of the Tempodrom DVD.

any others come to mind?

when a very young BM, I had trouble with zeit ! was it zeeeet, zit or zitte

ms BM who is a fluent german speaker corrected me years ago : its Z-EYE-T, with a slight emphasis on the eye-t, depending
Phew got that one right but only by luck.

According to an old tape I have of an interview with Edgar and Chris in England after Poland was released, Barbakane is BAR - buh - cane.

Edgar Froese is kind of like Fruh - zuh. It's really spelled Fröse and gets that umlauted sound to the "o." Same with Schmoelling.

Wahn is Vahn. Atem is AH - tem. (I spell this with American phonetics, sorry to you Brits and Aussies and those trained to speak their way! :) )

But I took German in college, I did.
Pardon me, I have nothing to say.
