Track times on Quantum Key

Post by RAYMAN1970 »

I have a bit of a mystery.

I recently downloaded Quantum Key from this site and I'm a bit confused.

The times on each track are stated as follows:

Genesis of Precious Thoughts 9:14
Electron Bonfire 5:05
Drowning In Universes 11:07
Mirage of Reality 7:25

When I actually PLAY these songs, the running times of each are as follows:

Genesis of Precious Thoughts 1:01:22
Electron Bonfire 33:50
Drowning In Universes 1:14:00
Mirage of Reality 49:21

Am I missing something here?

I have played each track and they are the extended lengths. The songs do not repeat themselves and the files are not corrupted and play beautifully, but the running times are MUCH longer than indicated. I get over THREE HOURS of music!

Can anyone shed some light on this?

I'm not complaining, mind you, just a little perplexed!

 I downloaded it and the track times are exactly the same as the cd, give or take a second. Don't know what has happened with yours. You say it sounds ok and not repeated - I am amazed and somewhat jealous if that is the case. Any ideas EB?

Maybe you by "accident" got all the music recorded for Quantum Gate, and more. :o

Maybe you got totally different tracks, nothing from Quantum Key or Quantum Gate... Who knows ?
Only EB and the Eastgate team could tell what happened. Interesting mystery !

I have the download also and it plays normal times through Windows Media Player7

Interesting problem you have there :)

And you say the tracks do NOT repeat at all ?

Strange.

Maybe you could post a track somewhere so people can take a listen...

Mystery solved.

Sorry to alarm anyone.

Apparently my iPad has a ghost in the machine. The tracks DID repeat several times which explains the long running times. That's what I get for "casually" listening.

I corrected the album from my iPad and re-synced it with my laptop and that solved the problem.

Very strange.

BEAUTIFUL release, BTW.
