new marinaTegenDer album

Post by bigmoog »

Press release from Ohrenschmalz records

marinaTegenDer debut album from 1970 (2012) released

'Electronic Medication'

originally recorded as a fiddling about with no idea session and never ever intended for release, but Ohrenschmalz records have made this available for the very final time, quite superbly remastered, uncensored and unretouched from a CDR, (recorded in dummy headcase stereo) and not including a new two word essay by a renowned essay writer, the album is issued in an unlimited edition of 69, with no red vinyl available. initial copies dont come with any sort of balloon....

extract from an interview to mark the release, with m/g founder bigmoog, interviewed by m/g archivist Sandy Kink :

well, BM, can you tell us about this release

sandy!, we didnt want this released, but it could get us noticed, so we can sign to a bigger label and earn dollar money and do ringtones for your mobile tefelones :)...and in my humble opine its our greatest most experimental album....ever, sort of.....

BM, the live track...can you give us the story behind that, the legendary concert?

Sandy!!, yes, that was from our 2008 tour before we formed, the last gig with chris F****E, we had just bought the rolling stones' modular moog synthesiser for many euros in cash, and as you know we had no idea how to operate this, but chris insisted on plugging it into the mains using a 5amp fused shaving plug...

Oh!, OH!!!, BM, I didnt know that, 5amp...let me make a note for my archive notes.5amp....*dribbles*.., so what happened at the gig?..

Sandy!!! the gig was sadly terminated when the synthesiser decided that improvised music was too repetitive and difficult to repeat on stage nite after nite, so it ran amok, went out of tune, jumped into the audience...and exploded

BM, and Chris?

Sandy!!....yeah *not weeping*, Chris...., poor Chris F****E, last heard of in hollowwood, thats quite near america you know. I think his last soundtrack was for 'Crime Scene Investigation in 3D'...in fact most of his work is a crime scene ;)

BM, this new recording technique, can you tell us more about it....

Sandy!!!!, best in high quality headphones, dummy headcase stereo is a unique way of recording the multilayered and faceted tesselations in musique via a grain-mapped interactive audio slicer routed through minor mode encoding for automatic source code indentation, resulting in musical time as a true living entity with global node interaction integrating with the human brain on this pla....er...Sandy????

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz , er, BM...what happened to your original drummer?

Sandy!!!...you mean Klause? well, he bought a keyboard and started playing at a gig in 1971.......i believe he is still at that gig on stage and well into the second movement....i think the audience fell asleep sometime around 1980...I know I did :)

BM, one last question, what do you think about cliques and forums?

Sandy!!!!. cliques? I prefer sects..Forums? isnt that a type of french cheese?

thanks BM, gotta go, Im off to catalogue a catalogue

Electronic Meditation had a balloon stuck to the cover...

...I dread to think what this might have stuck to it's cover.
