Cries And Whispers

Post by Jon »

I had never heard of this track until today. It was played live on the autumn 1990 UK Tour. Dynamite track, what a pity there is not a good and official CD version of this song, which runs for 10 minutes.

It starts after 57 minutes here:

Great Version
Crossed Fingers from the official CD Vintage Vanguard is not exacttly the same track , but too a great solo from the UK Tour 90.
Infinite thanks to all the peoples from Eastgate and TD for the Japan Raffle.

Thanks, hadn't heard Crossed Fingers before. The Back Of Beyond and Longing For Cashba are other great 1990 non-album tracks.

Likewise, my first TD show, Oct 26th 1990. Happy days!
Look for the sounds of Digital Horizons at http://digitalhorizons.bandcamp.com/ and on iTunes, CDBaby, Amazon Downloads and Reverbnation.

I attended both of the Hammersmith Odeon shows in October 1990. Some small variations to the set list across both nights, if I recall correctly.

Two days before the first show I had received my copy of the new studio album, Melrose, from CDS, and felt like I was one of the few in the concert hall that night who had previously heard "Electric Lion", etc!

Got my copy of Melrose from our local CD store in Eastleigh some time before the show so was really looking forward to hearing some of the new songs in the show.

Don't think its a live track.

The beginning if it on the fade in, is nearly as good to the end of Art Of Vision, rip both tracks and use a sequencer like acid or cubase to overlay the end of AOV with the start of CF - output them as a single file, hey presto  , what I suspect is the full length studio version of Art Of Vision, 13 minutes - ish.
