Incredibly sad. I really liked Man On Fire, The Fan, Deja Vu and Crimson Tide.

But most of all, I loved his choice of composers. Harold Faltermeyer, Hans Zimmer and Harry Gregson-Williams all wrote great scores for Scott.

Even Michael Hoenig got in on the act, producing Jack Nitzsche's Revenge in 1990.

:( Very sad. A fine fine director and a great loss to the movie industry. So sad that something was bad enough to drive him to this. RIP Tony. :(

Very sad indeed, I really enjoyed a lot of his films through my life. Crimson Tide, Beverly Hills Cop 2, The Taking of Pelham 123 and of course Top Gun were stand out for me. will miss his unique style of directing in which he is was very good at building up the suspense in a movie with good slick action. ;(
