Riversea : Out Of an Ancient World
Check out this very good album by Mark Atkinson (singer/songwriter, acoustic guitar player) and Brendan Eyre (keyboards), with several good guests, on drums and guitar, and Clem Clements on bass. It's a very lush sound, strong songs with a very melodic edge, a lot of beautiful piano, organs, mellotron and realistic synth orchestrations, reminescent of Pink Floyd's slow majestic songs around 73-75.
This album took a lot of effort to be created, those two artists are small independant musicians. Marc Atkinson sang on the two recent Mandalaband albums, yet, where Clem Clements plays some bass too.
You can hear Ashley Mulford from Mandalaband (a great guitar player), Adrian Jones from Nine Stones Close (another David Gilmour lover) and Bryan Josh from Mostly Autumn (same, really !)

Once more a proof that the most talented musicians aren't the most famous nowadays - very far from it....

There's a lengthy excerpt of the CD and more info, plus a secure ordering page there :

Absolutely loved the man and his music. A very special rock singer sadly missed. I think "rising" has to be up there with the greatest heavy rock albums of all time.
RIP Edgar. I am going to miss you.
