earplugs needed?

Post by tdfan »

Do you use earplugs to protect your hearing at TD concerts? I read somewhere that in the 70's they had a reputation for playing very loud.

I was thinking something like this

Eh, no. TD concerts are not particularly loud these days. If you are gonna see Motörhead you may consider it.

I do wear earplugs to concerts but not usually to TD concerts. The volume at your average TD concert these days is just about right. It's a shame not all bands are so careful with their sound levels.

I'd rather not be wearing earplugs but the volume at some concerts requires it. The sound you get through them can be muffled. Also you often can't hear the crowd noise, which is surprisingly important. I've been at one or two shows where I've thought that the audience has been quite subdued, it was only after I'd removed the earplugs that I realised they were actually going bananas.
