Back to Work

Post by redziller »

Although I was at my desk between XMas and NY it was kind of chilled got some things done left to myself.

But tomorrow, management will return clapping their hands together, rubbing them and grinning let's make 2007 a greeeaaat year! They will have had something like "Management for Dummies" in their XMas stocking and will be brim-full of blue-skies thinking, green-fields planning and brown-nosed emails.

And I was going to be less cynical in 2007.
imho

It would appear that upper management is the same, regardless of profession. Grit your teeth, gird your loins and drink heavily!

Ahh don't you just love management-speak. One of the guys at work uses it in staff meetings, the rest of us, who've come up through the ranks, give him a rough ride about it and rightly so. He doesn't seem to realise that he sounds a right winner using it.

I've heard many people saying today that, starting the 2nd, their work or school starts again.

I'm more fortunate, I have vacation till December 8th.

Nice break Theo. Sadly, because of my shift pattern, it's normal for me to work on public holidays. Got today off though! :D

Absolutely dead at our place today - how boring! all i could think about was what's going to new on the TD site when I get home!?.
Unlike our refuse collector friends, the need for more shopping trollies after xmas is always minimal! Yes i work in a factory maiking the bloody things!. Well some one has to do it!
