Nice clips of TD and KS.

What was Rick Wakeman doing up on that cliff? Nice hat by the way.

I've actually got that Yes clip on DVD somewhere. How sad is that?

You talk about it. I can't even bring myself to to listen to the recording I did of John Peel night that radio 1 did, just after he died.
It's gutting to think that he could have continued on for another 20 years sifting the nuggets from the silt. I miss the bloke, not just musically, I doubt whether I ever agreed with about 2% of his choices, but also has a decent man, I know the term gets devalued, and word 'hero' get's labelled to even Z-grade celebs with no talent, wit or brain. But...JP was a decent man, straight down the line, no BS, he liked whatever he liked and that was it, no playlists, no commercial string pulling; music just for what it is, enjoyment. Play what you want and love it..god know's life is far too short. Wherever JP is now, you know the soundtrack will be 'as' challengening, madening and ground breaking as it ever was.

There is nothing, absolutely nothing you could do in life (as tibute to JP), more fitting than to play some music 'you' enjoyed.

I remeber listening to John about 1977 on a wee transistor radio in bed and hearing a Stranglers gig. This is the time I really got into music. Not only has John left us but Fluff & Tommy Vance too. The state of radio nowadays is depressing with the exception of Stuart Maconie.
