I'm a fan of Europe. Saw them a few years back and they put on an excellent show.Pertou wrote:I did delete another of my posts to say how much I love Europe!!!cantosis wrote:Europe
What are you ashamed of? Wings Of Tomorrow, The Final Countdown and Out of This World are infinite classics IMHO!!
I suppose your right on the later stuff ,only minus the guitar solo's.epsilon75 wrote:timer wrote:Motorhead & Rammstein are about the only one's I have time for these days.
Tell you what Tim KJ verged on HM on occasions........Geordie would give Iommi a run for his money with some of those cutting riffs......KJ a superb band
I went to see Motorhead/Alice Cooper last night in Glasgow. Motorhead were great - the drummer played a stomper of a solo. Alice Cooper is great theatre. Missed JJ so can't comment.timer wrote:For me JP it got to be Motorhead hands down.
Although theyve had line up changes galore they can still produce some of the dirtiest Heavy rock arund these days.
The current line up should not be overlooked either, Ive seen them about 6 times in the last 10 years, and over 20 times over the past 24 yrs invarious line ups, although I never got to Fast Eddie Clark with them.
But the current line up are wicked a band to be reckoned with.
Id have been going to see them this week if they hadn't opted to tour as support to Alice Cooper, and with Joan Jett !
After my infatuation with The Stranglers Black Sabbath were for around three years my fave band. I also loved Sabotage..Megalomania really freaked me out though. I listened to seriously to the lyrics. I still love all eras of The Sabbs but of course have broadened my wings a lot. I still love a lot of HM and still cite it as a fave genre.Pertou wrote:Black Sabbath was the first band I worshipped and identified myself with. My favourite is still Sabotage, but The Eternal Idol and Never Say Die, still get's their airplay once in a while...staatsgrenze wrote:The first Black Sabbath.........is the original HM

Saw Dream Theater and Symphony X on the same bill last week. What an amazing show that was. More notes than the Bank of England.hansx wrote:wow, there are more people who like metal among the TD fans. Never realised that.
I started about 40 years ago with the Who, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Uriah Heep and Black Sabbath. And now Dream Theater is my favourit.
Besides that Metallica, Symphony X, Aryeon and a lot more have my attention.
The first concert I ever went to was Iron Maiden (Powerslave tour). I had NEVER heard volume like that before. What a spectacle that was. I wasnt a metal fan long and moved onto other music within a year or so. But I sure had fun at that metal show.hansx wrote:wow, there are more people who like metal among the TD fans.
