I hope this is also only speculation, but we'll see (or hear?!) Regards 8)

I think this is the last thing he did, some minutes on an obscure soundtrack:

I had no idea he had started painting though!
I think it was a tribute to the late Pop John Paul the second, so hardly obscure!
Well, have you, or anyone else for that matter, seen the film?

I doubt it. That's why I called it obscure.

Fair enough. What I meant was that the content of the film is hardly 'obscure'! I think the film is in Polish, so no I haven't actively looked to see it for that reason. I do remember C and D Services sending an e-mail advertising that they had it, but as usual it was over-priced.

Cheers,

Beauburg I find a very difficult album to listen to, tried it several times over the past couple of decades but just cant get into it

Can't cope with it either. Not sure what he was trying to achieve.

I have seen the film. It has not had a UK cinema release, as far as I know, but the DVD is available (In Polish & English with subtitles). Vangelis only contributed 3 tracks to the album, and the rest of the music is by Polish composer Robert Janson.

Just read at the Dutch JMJ forum that it might be possible Vangelis will give a concert in near future.
Until now it might be a rumour ..... 8)

Translation :
Websitemanager of elsew.com did hear directly from the team of Vangelis there are advanced plans for a concert.
And within reasonable travel range of The Netherlands.

A Vangelis concert in Qatar for the inauguration of the amphitheater in the Katara Cultural village. The event is scheduled for December 11, 2011.

I hope that a DVD of this event will be available in 2012.
