About the same time I lost interest Tim!
True confessions time for me.
Never been a fan of JMJ despite a mate of mine spending most of his college years trying to get me to like his music. He just couldn't believe I could like TD but not JMJ. Nothing particulaly wrong with his music, just didn't really hear anything in his music that clicked with me.
It gets worse actually because I feel the same about Kraftwerk.

....well that's my EM credentials in tatters.
Hey Chris! Spot on for me too :) I remember proudly buying rendezvous and playing it to friends without having listened first, and turning away in abject embarrassment...

...the same friends were more than happy to listen to Underwater Sunlight, and went on to record 'The Bends' and other well known albums... as for Kraftwerk, I have bought three albums so far, and have yet to 'get it'.

TD: Timeless, classless.
He's not the Messiah, he's a very naughty boy!

All good albums IMO, but generally fans tend to rate The Man Machine highest. My favourite is Radioactivity.

I could easily cop out and say that Teo and Tea isn't as good as the old stuff but that's not quite what it's about.

i think that the new album is a let down because it sounds lazy. if Jarre had wanted to make a "techno" album for the new age, surely he would have done some research into what makes a "Techno" album. To me it's artists on the Boomkat label, like Claro Intelecto.

T&T just sounds like a young person got ahold of some mixing software on their Dad's PC and went a bit silly.

for someone who is going to be 60 next year I think he looks very well......genius is a word that can banded around a bit too easily nowdays but it is very apt for Jarre.
