Tycho

[Schmoelling in wonderland]

Hi folks !

Just want to know if some of you have heard about the artist “Tycho” ? He is from San Francisco, USA and have release a more mature and quite good album in late 2011, called “Dive”.

If you like Boards of Canada and Ulrich Schnauss, you will probably notice some resemblance with the sounds he use. In fact, the sound “palette” he use is already know but the way he took some elements from some artists and make a interesting blend is fascinating. The result is like a more accessible, more melodic and “happy mood” of Boards of Canada. Also, Ulrich Schnauss asked him to make some remixes for his new album ! At first, the single “Hours” attract my attention in late 2011, but not the rest of the album. It is after a couple of listening that it grown on me.
