I haven't a clue when it comes to musical instruments and I'm painfully aware that I cannot sing!

Muso.... mois?

Began aged five being taught violin.... broke it....

Given a trumpet.... broke it, many times, (but parents knew a plumber). Ended up getting quite good, and ended up enjoying it.

Also - was taught to sing classically (in churches and cathedrals) and discovered a deep respect for music and architecture.... not long before 'Poland' was released in fact.

School made me choose a career... music was equated with joining the circus, so Architecture it was....

Still love Architecture, but b@gger me - some school friends went off and did rather well in the field of popular music... never quite recovered from that, and still have a nagging doubt that I could one day combine my two loves of space and music.

Excellent! Did you send a demo tape to John Peal? He played some excellent band titles from time to time (Sensible Jerseys... Half man, Half Biscuit...)
