MP3 Tag Software

Post by Insvims »

MP3 tag software. Anyone have any experience with it?
I have just bought a Squeezebox Touch (wonderful product!), and hooked it up to last.fm for scrobbling etc. The whole of my CD collection is ripped to MP3 (10.000 + files).
I have for years manually edited file tags, but still there are always wrong tags here and there. Does anyone have any experience with letting an MP3 tag software loose on your big collections? Will it really correct and organize, or is there a chance that it will mess up?

All I could say here is there is no way I would endanger my music and let any software loose on it :?

Always manually edit stuff, which is a pain. But if you have 10k plus files then I can see the point.

Congrats on the squeezebox thing, always thought it looked an interesting product.

OK, thanks for your input, har. I have an idea; I'll try a tag editor, but only on f.ex. 100 files at first. I'll put them in a separate folder and see what the program can do. I think it will do a great job, but just wondered if anyone had tried it on a huge amount of files. :-)
Yep, the Squeezebox is great fun! Even scrobbling to last.fm. :-)
