Just been watching this on the BBC News. Utterly shocking. It's worse than any Hollywood disaster movie. You'd be forgiven for not believing the images.

Apparently they are having problems with a nuclear power plant that suffered damage in the quake. Serious stuff. I hope it's sorted out OK.

Yep. There's some stuff you shouldn't joke about and this is a prime example.

It now appears that one of Japan's volcanoes has started to erupt. My heart really goes out to these people.
