A classic butchered

Post by redziller »

A while back I was dicking around in 5/4 and getting no where, gave up and went back to 4/4. For a few minutes 4/4 sounded really odd - so I wondered...

Could a rocking awesome TD track defeat the quirkiness of that time signature? So I had a go at doing Choronzon in 5/4. It's not all that polished but I had some fun :P

Actually that's pretty good. Almost, dare I say it, funky ....or is it jazzy. Maybe TD ought have a go at changing some of their old tunes in a similar fashion.

Most kind.

The only examples of 5/4 I can think of in TD are Atlas Eyes off Optical Race and Cherokee Lane when the base comes in (but then that's all kind of rubyconny where changes in time signatures is quite a feature)

A bugger to dance to

That does suggest that you've given it a go.

But Peter, it's just an experiment
