It happens to also be one of my fave TD albums as well. the best TD lineup there has been Froese,Franke,Schmoelling!. TD have never been as good since Schmoelling left in my opinion.

Just another point about album covers, I might be alone here but the most recent covers don`t do anything for me.
Nice cover and even better music. I can still feel the excitement I had when I bought it on cassette and played it to see if it was 'as good' as the concert.

Wow so you were at that gig?? If I could go back in time and see any gig it would be that one......and anyone where they play "Love On A Real Train" :D
Yep, and to be honest it was 'the best' gig concert I've ever been to in my life.

If you have the Virgin double of "Alpha Centauri / Atem", it looks like the same swamp / beach.

Stratosfear is ok, but I've always found it a bit garish, and....obviously it wasn't by Edgar or Monica.

I only have the 'In the beginning boxset' so not much artwork to speak of there.

Yes, Ricochet is the best one for a T shirt, I do think Optical Race would be very sporting.

I must agree with your list, Bergen-Dreamer. I love Edgar's total-eclipse artwork on Zeit, and the Stratosfear cover -- oh my God! Brilliant!

I also have to add Ricochet to my list. I love Monique Froese's framing technique with this one. A vertical photo of three silhouetted trees, the sun just peeking from behind a bare branch. The CD cover, though, ruins the effect IMHO. The black background on the vinyl album cover makes the photo so much more intense.
