Ditto.

Had to buy two copies. I left the first copy out in the rain.

I'm now reaching the end of book 2.

My young lad has just started book 3. It's been great being able to discuss this with him. Some really jaw dropping moments in this momentous story. Looking forward to the DVD and book 2.

Just ordered from my local waterstones....Bronze Summer - Stephen Baxter.

2nd installment in another epic tale about the ancient folk that inhabited the land mass of Doggerland, which is now under the North Sea.

First book was ace. This one has mixed reviews. We shall see, looking forward to it.

I like it so far, but I'm only in the first part of the book. Anderson is one of my favorite authors, so of course I'm enjoying it. Not his typical sci-fi/fantasy though.
It will make it easier for me to understand the lyrics for the new Rush album.

Thanks. I've read a few of his books and enjoyed them so this should be good.

Finished off Dan Abnett's Eisenhorn & Ravenor. Surely the best w40k writer. Now waiting on more from the Horus Heresy.

Wondering about GoT though - only watched a few eps of the telly and while the plot's good an novel I do prefer more blood being spilled than semen. Is the TV render a good one?
imho

Bizarrely that book above "forecast" which I finished last night, is initially about a world record attempt, high altitude Balloon trip and parachute jump. Whilst they are up there, the North Koreans start a nuclear war, which they witness from space.

Just watched the ITV lunchtime news there and guess what..............there is a high altitude balloon attempt imminent and the boy is way to break the sound barrier, in freefall, on the way down.

Spooky :?

Away to check my emergency stockpiles and underground shelter....... just in case :?
