was watching the footage on youtube with the stuff played at Paddington station, did anyone goto that? was a strange idea idea to do a gig there but a good one I think

Very nice IMO too, tho I hear a lot of Trans-Harmonic Nights in it.

"Rubbishy homage" sounds like an oxymoron BTW. If something is rubbish because of being a homage, doesn't that imply that whatever they're homage to is also rubbish?

Sure there's a lot of dreck out there, but trying to sound like TD isn't the reason, failing to sound like TD is.

rubbishy homage does not just mean in EM, but in all music.

If someone wants to homage their favourite musicians, thats fair enough as long as its done with some originality, style and genuine homage (that is, a pure faithful acknowledgement of the intent of music, not a note by note karaoke version). in the case of EM there is IMHO a heap of copy cat styles all trying to be rubycon, thats not homage, thats just laziness. IMHO.IMHO.
