I am thinking one or two Carlsberg Export lagers, highly chilled, and maybe a wee Talisker to wash it all down later.

Sounding good :P
Two carlsbergs, one tennants lager and one German Pilsner of some description 8)

No whisky :( :?

Here in sunny SoCal on Black Friday I took a road trip (4 hours) from Huntington Beach to Kernville, CA. to the Kern River Brewing Company for their "CITRA Double IPA" release. It's a very limited seasonal release. It won Gold at this years Great American Beer Festival in Denver. It is only released on tap at the brewpub 3 times a year. The last two releases they bottled it in 22oz bottles. I made the trip back in August and again on Black Friday. There is a 6 bottle and 1 growler per person limit. I was lucky to get 12 bottles and 2 growlers as the wife came with me this time. There was about 80 people in line when the doors opened at 1130. Only the first 50 in line got vouchers (for 6 bottles) and the rest only got growler fills (2 growlers since they ran out of bottles). There was a line that was at least 25 deep at the bar till about 2pm waiting to get a pint or two. Saturday was the same situation except they ran out of growlers.
KRBC CITRA is one of the hottest IPA's on the market right now.
