For the battle of Thermopyle exists another new film '300' directed Zack Snyder, Based on Frank Miller's graphic novel about the Battle of Thermopylae in 480 B.C.
Yep Theo - I'm looking forward to that one
Is it a remake or a sequel? I assume not many of the original 300 would be around for a follow up!

As you suggest. But historically perhaps Alexander is the sequel - man that was a bad, bad film

Yesterday i saw this movie with my familly. Finally, a real family film, and the movie is well paced, jumping almost directly into the action, with plenty of laughs.
Forbidden Planet...not as good as I remember (but then again quite a few things aren't if you go back to them 10 years later), but still impressive nevertheless. The music is untouchable though

Not the peak, but probably in my SF top ten.

My wife and I took the twins to see Night at the Museum, a movie I was in no particular hurry to see because I thought it was going to be too over-the-top for my liking. As it turns out, it was pretty good, not as overdone as thought it would be. All in all, a pleasant little outing for the family. (Of course, this means my wife is going to want the DVD when it comes out.)

bm repeats himself across all EM related fora
thus, in his opinion, forbidden planet is the greatest SCIFI filum: it is sciencefictions ZEITTIME......opinion disguised as cinematic critique....
er, bm also rates 2001 (I saw this at Cinerama in 1971...and it still makes BM shiver and shake)
Giger is one clever individual, if a little sick, and makes me laugh. I saw an interview with him on the telly and he saying that he is quite proud to have got a p*nis into a Hollywood film, he was refering to the chest-burster.
