I saw it too. We were just packing for Cruise to the Edge, and was very much looking forward to see him with the band again.
I wish him good luck with future projects!

Berni's website has a sad note from him explaining why he is not touring - it is down to money, basically. Very sad, and I hope that neither he nor Edgar have closed the door on any future involvement with the Band. If he has left, then best wishes to him for the future.

That's sad :(

IMHO the best guitarist TD have had, and very modest with it too.

Had the pleasure meeting him back in 2008, a very nice guy.

I wish him well for the future.
Be at one with the sequencing.....

Agreed - the best guitarist TD have ever had - apart from Edgar, of course !

Damn shame IMHO. Great talent and style without the ego and deserves to go on to big things. EP 2012 is a cracker

Wonder if Hoshiko would give One Night in Space a go.
imho

So... I guess the questions are will they tour without a 2nd guitarist at all, or will they bring someone in. At such short notice I can't see how they can do this.

Jerome maybe??

I'd love to see Zlatko again, but this isn't going to happen. I wonder what Mark Hornby is up to?

A great pity about BB.

TD states that they will not use guitar much in the coming months. Edgar will play the guitar if it's needed.

I respect Edgar's decision to embark on a new "musical concept", but I wonder how many fans had planned on seeing TD this year for their "final" tour with the guitarist who has supported (if not more than just supported) them in the past 7 years.

I know I was hoping to see Bernie again one last time.

Hell, before I read about the move to not use a guitarist full stop I was seriously considering contacting Bernie and asking him if I could fund his trip over to London so that he at last gets one last opportunity to have a "swan song" with Edgar and Co. But now it looks like they're going to have a whole new "stage presence" and this would no longer be viable.

All I have to say is that I always found Bernhard to be a class act, both on and off stage. I will miss him and I wish him well
