I spell it Schnitzler :P
The interview with Edgar: Andy did the English transcriptions, he's the one who deserves the credit (who cares about the Swedish radio host anyway!)

Konrad's stuff is either fantastic or just noise IMHO, his early albums are unmissable!

:D I didn't exclude Conrad or Klaus for musical reasons, I just picked those that had been with TD for a fair amount of time and not just the odd album. :D

It's a no brainer that Edgar Froese is the main man. I love "Beyond The Storm", all "The Ambient Highway CDs" and his rerecordings of his 1970's CDs. His PHAEDRA rerecording is great and his rerecordings on Tangents and The Dream Roots collection are stellar.

Edgar is Tangerine Dream. He's been a devout vegetarian for 30 years. Good karma.

I have to admit to really enjoying Johannes Schmoellings albums more than Edgar`s, I just find them very interesting. albums like White Out and Zoo Of Tranquility which are so different to anything I have heard. I obviously love Edgar`s work as well and I do actually really enjoy Chris Frankes(even some of the Babylon stuff). But for me Johannes comes out on top just, his album Wuivend Riet is one of my alltime faves. quite a touching album for me, not sure why but it just touches me deeply.

7 Jerome Froese:Shiver me timbers
8 Johannes Schmoelling :Wuivend riet
9 Edgar Froese : Pinnacles
10 Johannes Schmoelling :Instant city

20 : Iris Camaa :Straight from the shoulder

It's my opinion of this day.To morrow ,it will be certainly different.
It's just to say that Edgar's work is my favorite ,but I like the other solo productions too.

I don't speak from the members of one album (Klaus Schulze,Conrad Schnitzler or Steve Jolliffe)

I think that Edgar, Johannes, and jerome are the only ones (although i have heard none of the solo stuff from the others except Chris' PCH) that have kept that imaginative, consistant spark. Edgar most of all, but I did like Neptunes and some of 'Instant City' from Johannes.

I think Chris Franke has totally sold out to the holliwood durgy soundtrack crowd (or HDSC) although PCH has become quite a regular player on my mp3 this year.

My favourite by far: Edgar, probably Stuntman.
