REMNANTS - with TQ soundtrack - Berlin show - 1st Aug 2015

Post by 32 years + counting »

Hi Folks,

REMNANTS, with Thorsten's excellent score, is showing in Berlin this coming Saturday 1st August as part of a multi-media event at KUNSTHALLE.

It's being organised by UK electronica artist GENE SERENE and will showcase a live performance of her new album THE POLARIS EXPERIENCE, plus support and DJs.

I won't be attending, and I have no clue as to the tech specs of the screening, but both venue and overall event look like they will make for an interesting night!

Best,
Grant Wakefield (aka 32 Years and Counting)

REMNANTS - REVIEWS

"A wonderful short by Grant Wakefield. Stunning 2k resolution and extraordinary music
by Tangerine Dream member Thorsten Quaeschning."
- Bruce Campbell, CINEMA RETRO - Bradford Film Festival 'Widescreen Weekend' 2013

“An incredible piece of work. The best movie screened at GSCA 2014....absolutely stunning, beautiful, and purely brilliant.”
- Mike George, ARIZONA SCIENCE CENTRE, 'Giant Screen Cinema Association' conference 2014

"A mesmerising study of the remains of ancient civilisations, and the soundtrack by Thorsten Quaeschning
captures the mood perfectly. The film takes you on a journey to a stunningly effective, thought provoking climax.
The images look stunning; watch it on the biggest screen possible."
- Anthony Powell, director / producer: ANTARCTICA - A YEAR ON ICE

"A love letter to our ancient ancestors. Wakefield has travelled to the most remote areas
of the British Isles and captured gorgeous footage. REMNANTS is a beautiful film that looks
great on the large screen."
- Dave Rogers, YORKSHIRE TIMES - Bradford Film Festival 'Widescreen Weekend' 2013

"Through beautiful and hard-earned imagery Wakefield has created a moving inner journey that lets us
feel our connection to our ancient roots and the timeless turning of the earth. I loved it."
- Mark Magidson, producer: BARAKA & SAMSARA

“A beautiful visual tone poem....one of the more cohesive, mature works in the genre trailblazed by ‘Koyaanisqatsi’...a must see.”
- Stephen van Vuuren, Director: IN SATURN'S RINGS
