I think you will be impressed with Frank's version of Coldwater Canyon:

Thanks desert; yes, frank has done a splendid job. What got me into TD in 1978 was listening to cold water canyon: i was immediately absorbed by the opening minute - the synth chord isolated, echoed and repeated - simplicity in itself and yet sublimely fundamental to the tune as its return later, alas lacking from frank's rendition.
Cold water canyon is my favourite TD tune to this day; no other tune comes near it.

It's a pleasure, mate. Encore is also my favourite album since 1981 when I discovered TD.... especially Coldwater Canyon and Cherokee Lane with the sublime interweaving sequences above the rhythmic bassline power... sheer beauty. I reviewed it here: http://rateyourmusic.com/release/album/ ... am/encore/

Anyone mentioned Arcane yet. They (or rather he) do some pretty good TD-like tracks.

We have mate. Some people really rate them and some people (like me) think they're pretty average, but each to their own.

Cheers for starting an RMI thread though, I'm sure fans of their stuff will want to contribute, having said that, perhaps it's in the wrong section, but that's nitpicking, welcome to the forum!
