I've still got a couple of miss-pressings that Thorsten gave me a few years back with hand-scribbled sleeves. 8)

Some superb releases from the PPm camp last year :

Fairy Marsh Districts - Midsummer, and the )for me) stunning Pois, Butterflies and Windmills.

The Later should be released as a regular CD !

No doubt more great music from TQ and Friends this year .

Saw those yesterday. Nice to see a musician doing some good old, honest to goodness, experimentation. We see precious little of that these days. Have to say that the results seem very good too. I wonder if it'll make it to CD at some point.

I got Metropolis Poetry today and must say that this is another brilliant work by TQ and the band. Great electronic music in the vein of TD, sometimes a bit more experimental. A must-have.

The track Tangled High Mass is by far my least favourite. It reminded my of some stuff I heard by Godpeed ! You Black Emperor.

Then I read Andy King's interview with Thorsten in The Zest issue 9 and there
he has GYBE as one of his favourite bands, so it explains a lot.

Having said that, the tracks before and after Tangled High Mass are excellent !

Listened to Metropolis Poetry a lot over the last week since The Lowry gig. I like it a lot. PPM have, once again, excelled themselves. Nice to hear a band really experimenting with a whole selection of sounds and styles. Not a single dull moment.
