Thanks, sparrow.
I always prefer recommendations from mortal people as opposed to the rather questionable group of lifeforms known as the music press.

I also did some research myself, and it seems the Church have an impressively consistent back catalouge!

It always amazes me that when most EM artists list their "favorite or best of year" selections there is hardly any well....EM! I think most people think it makes them cool when they say they like "all kinds" of music. Not me, I found that I LOVE EM [and nothing else] and it's various sub-genres, like synthpop, ambient and EBM/industrial. Yeah yeah, I know people will argue [as I've before] that I'm being "narrow minded", not at all, I sampled other musics and found that NOTHING compares to EM. I fell in love with EM because it offers something DIFFERENT then the humdrum boring mainstream "music" like guitar bands, no talents like Britney Spears and [my most hated] [c]rap/hip hop and oprea.

interesting enough choice, I only know three or four, in a blurry way.

I must specifically say that Friday Night Lights, the soundtrack Explosions In The Sky pulled out, is actually the most simple and most minimal of all five (upcoming six) released projects.
