Peter Baumann in Yanni-book

I just finished reading the book YANNI IN WORDS from 2003, about the career of Yanni.

Quite a few facts about Peter Baumann there. It seems like Yanni felt cheated by Baumann and Private Music, Yanni didn't get all the money he should and Private never invested much in Yanni's career.

Also, Yanni thought he signed a four-album deal with Private, but then it seemed he hadn't read the small print and found out he actually had signed for 8 albums instead!

One of Baumann's comments when he had signed Yanni was "I discovered the new Vangelis".

Although Yanni didn't seem too happy with Baumann, at least he thanks him at the end of the book.

I found the book interesting, much information about Private Music and the instrumental music business.

ouch...he can play a nice tune (from memory I think I have one LP and perhaps one of his tracks on a compilation tape somewhere). Mind you I haven't played it in years

To be honest, I think it's a bit irrelevant whether or not Yanni (or his mustache) is shite. I've never heard his music, so I can't comment on it.
