Jerome

Post by MRBLUE »

Sorry to drag up the old, but has Jerome actually left the band?

I have not seen any official news on this - or I am I not looking in the right place, or is it a very sore subject?

PLEASE, DON'T GET ALL DEFENSIVE OVER THIS!

I think he has, but don't know. He left a rather bitter faq last year, which it is better not to quote from.

You mean the "cold war" to "convergence" thing?

Although I miss seeing Jerome up there on stage with his dad I think for the fan its a good thing, Shiver Me Timbers was a truely amazing album, my favotrite from last year and Edgar is creating some amazing stuff as well. We are spoilt with top quality music.

All round its a good thing, but I still hope to see them on stage again one day and I am sure we will ;).

Jerome has his solo career, which has produced Neptunes: a superb record, truly excellent music and SMT, which I enjoy....The parting of the ways has IMHO injected new vistas in TD music, from which there is no turning back....always onwards with them tangs.....onwards

:) As much as I liked Jerome's input into TD over the years since 1989 I must admit there were times when you could identify his compositions so easily and I was becoming a little tired of the style. I like his two solo albums but nowhere near as much as TD albums but he has without a doubt a lot of talent, it is just not always to my liking. I have to say that since Jerome left TD, officially or unofficially, TD's music has got better and better (IMHO) and I am so excited with every release of theirs now, which is something I haven't really felt since Melrose, at least not on such a regular basis. I wish Jerome all the best in his future solo releases whcih, of course, I will continue to buy!! :)

Yes, he's gone, totally!! It sounds brutal, but I don't miss him.
TD's quality even improved after he left the band.
Good luck to him and his solo career....but I think he's a bit too slow
for being a real booster....

Jerome was on Jeanne d'Arc, which to many here, is the beginning of the return of TD. So it may have continued even if he was around.

That'd be the best thing that could happen to the DM series ... Aaron should send a demo disc to Edgar. :D
