Is there anyone here amonst us who had the luck to witness one of the epic 1977 TD concerts? If so, I do hope you'll let us know what it was like for you....

I wish I could say I attended one of these concerts. Our TransAtlantic cousins may not get many visits from TD, but they surely witnessed one of the greatest (if not the greatest) tours!

Parts of the following were previously posted, but they fit in here and maybe you haven't seen it before:
Back in 1977 I saw Tangerine Dream play live in the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium. I had previously read about them in the British music magazines that I purchased from my favorite record (remember those) store, "Moby Disk". The show was to feature a Lasarium light show. Who even knew what that was? Of course, by going to the show I was lucky enough to see a real classic concert. It was fantastic! I remember thinking at the time that I had always heard about "psychedelic rock" and was always disappointed to find that it turned out to be just rock music. Now this was what I thought was meant by the term. I remember afterwards feverishly looking through the record stores for TD albums. It was my good fortune that the next album I found was "Ricochet".
I had the good fortune to see TD again in 1980 at the Warfield theater in San Francisco. This was one of only two shows (the other was in L.A.) that the band played in the USA with the Froese, Franke, Schmoelling line up. For this show, they played without the Lasarium. The stage was draped with sheets and dry ice that gave the feeling that they were playing in a cave. If someone were to ask what my favorite live show of all time was, this would be it.
