The most colossal TD concert EVER. I would go to the moon and back to see another TD concert of this high quality

MFD sounded even better there than the version on the MFD promo disc!

Can't wait for the DVD of the concert 8)

Read that. Nice to see Tangerine Dream getting so many name-checks and the recognition they deserve but there's no new information so it's a bit of a dull read.

I agree...although I'm not sure about the 'TD regularly visited the UK tour Ten'? make that 15 and 12...I know maths isn't a strong point with me ;)

Yes it'd be nice to find a proper and complete article just on TD (one of the suppliements solely dedicated would be good  ) Article did bring back few good memories, I remember the Raindow Dome Musick of Steve Hillage and going in and out of the Dome itself for the duration of the festival at the Mind & Body show at Olympia at the time where it was set up 8) (reminds me I need a new mind & body pronto!)

Good article for those of us on the fringe, which I enjoyed reading - many thanks.

It sums up my feelings about traditionally trained musicians playing a synth like a piano and those less experienced, exploring the infinite soundscapes available. Interesting how TD started as the latter and regressed to the former, in my opinion........

 I suppose I was harking back to the old days a bit there Andy
and wanting to see Edgar & the MFD line up adorning the cover of my
sunday sup mags, Time magazine  etc can never get enough TD.
I like the idea I think it was Chris mentioned earlier re: MFD DVD footage and the beeb...that would be something else :P :)

I've emailed Stuart Maconie asking him to plat MFD, afterall he's made Phaedra album of the week...twice!...playing 20 plus minutes of the album on each show, plus he's played Poland (Over 22 minutes of it) and numerous shorter tracks. If anybody is going to then it'll be him. Hmm that reminds me my girlfriend's mate is a radio DJ in Scotland...and he owes me a favour :D

As far as the mainstream press goes, they packed up their toys in 1978, coverage (if you just have your UK goggles on is next to nothing)...however if you look at the world wide press then TD are still covered, not very often, but they are covered :)

Nice one Andy! (re: Stuart Maconie and your girlfriends mate), I've got some great international TD related mags I picked up overseas through the years and your right its a wee bit thin on the ground here lets hope MFD can change that a bit :)
