UPDATE :
Ian Catherall on Facbook wrote: =========================
guys and girls...

the saga of a suitable venue continues. I have phoned the Samuel Platts pub
who have advised that they are only open on Manchester United match days!
They will not be open on 28th May.

Exchange Bar is not really big enough to accommodate us lot as it is mainly
a restaurant operation.

I therefore suggest the Lime Bar - http://www.limeuk.com/index.htm

This is right outside the Lowry and can accommodate 500 people inside plus
space for a further 400 outside if the weather is nice. It also serves food
too. I've phoned them today and they say they would love a party of
Tangerine Dream fans in the afternoon!

This is where i will be heading and would be great if we are all together
before the gig. I will update the venue on the page.

Thanks

Ian

PS. Could someone re-post this on the TD forum? thanks.

The lime bar is smack outside the venue.. it is an ultra cool bar that i somehow do not think will serve real ale.. o.k if you drink sol with a slice of lime!! Alternativly there is a lot of us still meeting up at the exchange bar.. at least you will be able to get a decent pint there!!
So now you have the choice of two venues.. the choice is yours.

There is one item, I didn't see anywhere until now. The championsleague final is also on this date. Manchester United is in it. Imagine what will happen when they win the game. It really will be a mess in town.
Ok, I don't see it happen. :) Sorry, Manfans. But, you never know.

Not quite the same. PSV lost and wasn't champion then, so nothing happened.

@all
Looking to the weatherforecast at this moment there is a slight to major chance it will be a rainy day.
That's not what I hope, I like to have a very sunny day, 20 C, to sit outside to have a drink and something to eat.
I like to suggest the last meeting point to be The Lime bar, a few hours before the concert.
So everyone could enter the concert with dry clothes. :D

Two days to go and I still have no idea what time I'm going to be getting to Manchester. If I can spare the time I'll try to pop in. One day I'd like to go to a TD show with out being in a blinding rush.
